Luke is Quality Engineer at INDO Lighting. He has full responsibility for the company’s Integrated Management System, maintaining compliance to ISO 9001:2015 and the adoption of ISO 14001:2015, continual improvement, quality control, supply chain quality, NPI and process engineering.
Prior to INDO I spent five years in the CNC machining sector, employed as a Quality Engineer at Lipco Engineering and before that as Quality Manager at fellow SME Nu-Tech Engineering. Both companies provide sub-contract multi-axis machining services to various industries including Tier-One Aerospace, Defence, Oil and Gas, Rail and Automotive.
Previous duties have included assisting in the transition to AS9001 D, Continual Improvement initiatives, NPI projects, Mechanical Inspection, CMM programming/setting/operating (PC-DMIS), liaising with customers and suppliers, 8d, 5 Why, RCCA, AS9102 FAIR’s, auditing, creation and implementation of inspection time reduction initiatives and advising staff in mechanical inspection good practice.
First career stages were in injection moulding as a night-shift Inspector for a large US company at a factory in Christchurch then as Quality Assurance Assistant at one of the UK’s largest gas and electric fireplace manufacturers.
