Scott is one of INDO’s latest recruits, having joined the company in early 2017 with a strong exterior lighting manufacturing and design-led background. Scott took over INDO’s London and South East sales area from Rebecca and is responsible for looking after a range of clients from many disciplines.
In addition to his work for INDO, Scott is another member of the team that’s heavily involved in the ILP, serving currently as Vice President of Events. In partnership with Rebecca, he co-founded the YLP Young Lighting Professionals Institution in 2009 to encourage more young members of the profession to get more involved in the work of the ILP
Scott originally started his career in 2004 with Atkins Highways and Transportation, working with the street lighting team where he started as a Trainee Technician working on a range of major highways projects. Over 6 years he worked his way up to Assistant Engineer, completed an HNC qualification, the ILP Exterior Lighting Diploma and attained Associate Membership and Engineering Technician status too.
After that Scott took the opportunity to work with manufacturers, DW Windsor as a Product Manager which really helped cement his knowledge of lighting and its applications. A year with Havells Sylvania, as Strategic Business Unit Manager followed, before coming back to DW and then on to join INDO
I enjoy the challenges that arise from the introduction of new technology, something which has been taking place in the lighting industry for many years now. I also enjoy the feeling of being in an industry where I can count many people not only as colleagues or customers, but good friends too.
Because I really enjoy keeping up to date with current affairs
