TopLink is our LED top light for commercial glasshouses, engineered to run its whole service life without a driver change.

What TopLink is

TopLink is a top light for commercial glasshouse growing, available at 400W, 600W and 800W. It comes in a red or a broad spectrum, with individually controllable channels and a tunable spectrum option, so the spectrum can be matched to the crop. Two housing lengths cover the range: 929mm x 265mm x 78mm for the 600W and 800W units, and 629mm x 265mm x 78mm for the 400W.

Direct Drive reliability

TopLink is built on Direct Drive®, our own driverless LED technology. It regulates the LED current straight from the mains, which removes the separate driver and the wet electrolytic capacitors inside it: the wear-out components that make conventional LED luminaires fail long before the LEDs do. No more driver changes. Ever.

Output and control

Each luminaire delivers up to 2550 µmol/s, at an efficacy of up to 3.54 µmol/J. Dimming runs over DALI, 0-10V or Bluetooth, so TopLink can be driven by an existing climate computer or run on its own. Input is 230 VAC or 400 VAC, power factor is better than 0.9, and 10kV differential mode and 6kV common mode surge protection is fitted as standard.

Build and environment

The aluminium body doubles as the heatsink, under a clear glass lens. Optic and gear are both rated IP66, and the luminaire is rated from -40°C to +40°C at up to 95% relative humidity, which is what year round glasshouse running actually asks of a fixture. Net weight is under 10kg: light enough for one person to lift into position on the hanging brackets supplied, and slim enough to keep shadowing off the crop below.
